The Birch Community is set in 55 peaceful acres and is just 30 minutes from Central London. With 20 versatile event spaces, maximum capacity 120 theatre style, 90 for a seated dinner and a total of 140 bedrooms.

As well as meeting rooms, you can hire the Tipi (max 45 guests), Art Studio, Bakery or Music Room. The venue has a screening room and seven Think Pods.

The overall theme running through the venue; its public spaces, meeting rooms and grounds, is one of wellness, this extends to the bedrooms too which do not have desk space or TV’s, they too are more a place to relax and recuperate.

The hotel (De Vere Theobalds in a previous life) is comfortable, inviting and inclusive.

More of an estate, with multiple interesting areas to explore running side by side, rather than an hotel. A mix of the old within the main house, and the new in the more open plan, co-working Hub wing.

In-built activities for groups to reconnect include yoga, spinning, pottery, baking, candle-making, foraging with the venue’s farmer Tom or relaxing on the loungers by the Lido.

BBQ pits for hire are scattered on the rear lawn where the Tipi is also located, overlooked by the rear terrace, all of which gives a high-end festival vibe.

As well as private dining rooms, groups can also book dinner (exclusive use options available) at the hotel’s Zebra Riding Club Restaurant housed in the old stables with its open plan kitchen.

Valeries Restaurant sits in the middle of the hotel, with the added bonus of a large terrace area to the hotel’s frontage, for al fresco dining complete with patio heaters and blankets for the cooler evenings. Within Valeries you’ll also find the Gun Room, private dining area for a maximum of 6 guests.

Both restaurants are very much farm to fork based with all on-site dining and eating options overseen by Robin Gill.

Overall this venue gives the feeling of offering delegates a creative and productive space to work in, flexible surroundings, relaxed co-working areas and something a little bit different but amazing.
