De Vere Beaumont estate, Windsor

Beaumont Estate

De Vere Beaumont Estate, Old Windsor is set in 42 acres of parkland including an activity field (no motorised activities), this large estate has a grand total of 414 rooms across the site.

There are 24 meeting rooms in the main building, 17 meeting rooms in the Conference Village and 6 meeting rooms in the Mansion or White House.

The hotel is large, but by dividing it into separate zones, each gives a slightly different feel, a feeling of cosiness within its huge meeting and accommodation ability has been created.

Click here for more information on the hotel’s meeting space.

Hanover Suite

The Hannover Suite

Max x 700 theatre stye with reception lounge x 700 also.

From the large main Hannover Suite (with vehicle access direct into the function for ease of production access or car launches) and its large “L-shaped” Hannover Lounge, the hotel can accommodate up to 700 delegates for registration and refreshments in the lounge and the same number theatre style in the Suite.

From Smart Space Meetings to functional meeting rooms to elegant rooms for board meetings and private dining, the hotel has a lot to offer.

Nods to the unusual to add a little bit of quirkiness to an event such as a mini horse trailer converted into a bar on the Hannover Patio (alongside some market stall style service points), numerous outdoor pizza ovens dotted around the grounds to a tuk-tuk in the main restaurant.

Market Stall

Market Stall Food Service Points

All diets can be accommodated including a grab and go offering from the main Beaumont Restaurant. Many of the “zoned” meeting areas also come with their own self-service pantries for ease of service, it removes the need to keep updating the hotel with revised meeting timings.

By day you can host a formal delegate orientated conference and then move to the surprise offering of a gala dinner by night in the hotel’s Chapel.

Dating back from 1870 the Chapel has an elaborate barrel painted ceiling, its own built in bar and dance floor.  The original confessional booths are now smaller seating areas to one side of the room.

The Chapel

The Chapel

Cabaret for 80 delegates or banquet for 200 guests.

The hotel has plenty of car parking which, as with the layout and positioning of the accommodation (mainly across two bedrooms wings), can increase your daily step count, but the corridors are lined with little ditties … entering one of the meeting zones, I was greeted with the words “Hello Gorgeous” on the wall in front of me and as daft as it sounds, it does make you smile.

There’s talk of the White House becoming more of a separate offering.  It’s certainly more country house than the main building which is more conference hotel.  It has its own car park just beyond its separate entrance and views over the front lawn so it’s very conceivable that it could become a standalone product.

Internally the White House does link directly to the main building and you can walk from one to the other without realising it but smaller meetings with private lunches and dinners can be hosted purely in the White House which also houses a total of 26 bedrooms.

I like this hotel, it has a lot to offer from its ability to host large scale events through to cosy sunny courtyards to sit and have a quiet coffee.
